| This is my social critique piece. Basically what it is about is how people will spend hundreds of dollars at a big name clothing place (hollister is the first I could think of), and in the end they basically start to look like a walking billboard. When you really think about it, it doesn't really make sense to pay that much money so you can advertise a company. Images used under fair use agreement. May upload again with minor details touched up. |

This is a great idea. I was shocked when I learned the price people pay for a plain t shirt with a logo. The white background works great with this. My eye goes first to the billboard and then directly to the bottom right corner with the text. Technically I think everything looks great. The only suggestion I can think of is the space above the knee that is white space before the bottom portion of the billboard. Maybe because the background is white it appears as though her legs are not attached to her body. Maybe filling the sections with color would eliminate the space? Other than that I think this is awesome! I would like to have fliers of this printed out to hand out to some of the teens in my family. It looks very professional. Good Job!
ReplyDeleteI really like what you are trying to say with this, and i think that you are going to have a very interesting image when your finished. The only thing that kind of makes me wonder is, have you considered the female to be walking because to me it looks like she is just standing there bored, and when you said that people are walking billboards. Sorry thats probably to literal but I liked the image that came to mind. Also i think it would be interesting if you continued this and made one for a guy.
ReplyDeleteI really like your idea! The picture really makes you think. The fact that first you pay top dollar for something and then, they get free advertising from people wearing their product. I think you did a great job from a technical standpoint. My eye is somewhat drawn to the words though since there is no color or boldness elsewhere in the image. Overall, I think you did great. Maybe you could have a group of people carrying the billboard walking? Have a road, sidewalk, or something?
