Its Your Choice

This piece can say multiple things, or it can be just something nice to look at. If it were to say something, it would probably be along the lines of this: as we grow up, things from comic books, super heros, and things like them will either stay or leave from our lives. In the same way, as we grow up we have to make the choices that will define who we are. Although probably not nearly as drastic as the characters from Batman or other comics, it still shows just how much the choices we make in life will affect who we are (if you know the back stories of the characters its easier to understand).

final progress

Tis a collage of Batman things. One side good, the other evil. About halfway done. Just a few more people to add, and some layers to make it visually better.

Re-Imaging Muybridge

For my .gif I first added the jet pack guy (nothing to do here meme), im not at all sure why... but i decided just him flying across the screen over the horse wasnt enough, so i added in Anikin Skywalker, the DeLorean time machine from back to the future (originally was going to be the Mach 5 from Speed Racer). For some reason I still wasnt satisfied with it so i added the Avenged Sevenfold Death Bat and had it pop up randomly. I really just wanted this to be as random as possible.

Assignment three.

I decided to make a map of songs I wrote in high school. These are mostly from my junior and senior year, and there are 39 of them all layered over one another. It is not exactly supposed to convey anything, it could be looked at as showing just how chaotic the type of music that I write can be, and that is shown because you can not really tell what the lyrics say, or what word goes in what song. I have a very disorganized writing process.

Assignment Three Proposal

For my digital mapping piece I am going to create an image generated from scanning all the songs I wrote in high school. Then I will drop the opacity on all of them so they can be seen through each other and layer them on top one another. Avoiding copyrights because they will be all my own images. Main artist that inspired me was Jason Salavon.

Visual Complexity

This one was interesting to me because I used to do a lot of running and I would love to see a map of everywhere I had run, I think it would be interesting to look back at where I have ran in cross country with all the races I was in all over Ohio.
